  • New! *Information Booklet for Whanau*

    This is the information booklet we provide to all our participants at our first hui. It provides useful information on what whanau can expect from us, and what their rights and responsibilities are. It also contains our consent form and complaint information. Take a look!

  • Safeguarding and Child Protection

    Our child protection policy aims to provide guidelines for all staff, board members, volunteers, contractors, and visitors to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. The welfare of children will be paramount for all decision making to ensure the focus remains on the child and decisions made are not driven by the needs or expectations of adults.

  • Feedback, Complaints and Concerns

    Here at He Ao Hou i Ōtepoti ki te Raki we respect your experiences, both positive and negative, and are always looking for ways we can improve our services. You have the right to complain about your engagement with the staff, volunteers and the services we provide.

  • Privacy

    He Ao Hou is committed to protecting the privacy of people who interact with us. The purpose of this policy is to ensure adherence with the Privacy Act 2020 across the organisation. This Policy outlines the organisation’s responsibilities and legal requirements to adhere to and follow best practice for the Privacy Act 2020.

  • Ethical Use of Photographs

    At He Ao Hou, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct, especially when it comes to the use of photographs of children and young people. Safeguarding principles underpin this policy and should be upheld when engaging in any photography of children and young people, ensuring the protection and well-being of all individuals involved and respecting their rights to privacy and consent.

  • Whistleblowing

    The Board of He Ao Hou is committed to operating legally (in accordance with applicable legislation and regulation), properly (in accordance with organisational policy and procedures), and ethically (in accordance with recognised ethical principles). People who assist in maintaining legal, proper, and ethical operations by “whistleblowing” are protected by legislation.

  • Staff and Volunteer Confidentiality

    This document sets out the types of things that are to be considered organisationally confidential to He Ao Hou and the communities and participants with which it works.
